Praying for Rich Cornish

Posted by Pastor Fies on 30th April 2009

Rich Cornish has been on life support for ten days now.  He has been a source of strength for his family and his wife, Pam.  Tomorrow they are planning a tracheotomy and a spinal tap.  He has been recently diagnosed with Valley Fever.

(Valley fever is caused by fungi in the soil. The fungi that cause valley fever can be stirred into the air by anything that disrupts the soil, such as farming, construction and wind. The fungi can then be breathed into the lungs. Valley fever is a form of coccidioidomycosis.  Courtesy of MayoClinic.com)

Rich has clearly stated that he knows Christ as his personal Saviour.  We don’t know when God might call him home; but we know that when He does, Rich will be ready.  Please pray for Rich and Pam, his wife.  Pam was one of the ladies in the church where I grew up as a child and has been by his side day and night.  “We’re rootin’ for you, Rich.  Be strong!”

A gentleman in our area that frequents First Baptist was diagnosed with valley fever two years ago. Although he is not back to his normal routines, he did make a recovery. We will be praying for Rich and his family.

I want to thank everyone who is praying for my husband Rich…they put a feeding tube in his stomach on Saturday and they are putting the trech in sometime today..which is Monday…we don’t know yet about the spinal tap..but if they don’t do it today I won’t let them do it at all…oh, and they did find he was bleeding in his stomach still and fixed that I will keep you updated on what else happens.
