Remembering Noma Thingstad

Posted by Pastor Fies on 9th September 2009

Monday night, September 7, 2009, Noma Thingstad went to be with the Lord. She fought a brave battle with double pneumonia and congestive heart failure. At the end of that battle, she had been ravaged by the sickness and the treatments for the sickness. She was only a shell of who she was before. But that is not the way we will remember her. We will take great delight in remembering the days of strength that she had and her spunk and spirit. At the end death robs us of our life on earth, but cannot take away our life in heaven. Noma was a child of God and nothing can take that away. She will be loved and remembered for many years–not as she died, but as she lived.

  1. DAVID REESE says:

I would like to take a few momunts to thank all the people who helped our family to get through this very hard time in our lives. For all of you that brought food, prayed,or just held a spiritual arm around us. “I thank you” and i want you to know we felt them. It has been my pleasure to be a part of Mckee Road Baptist Church since the early 1980s I left for a while and when I returned I was welcomed back with open armes. It has been again my pleasure to stand beside my new pastor and serve the the LORD in a church that first loves GOD and His people just the way we were taught in the early years of Planz RD. I know that all the pastors from the conception of our church would be proud to see what our church will become in the next few years. So, again thank you members, pastor and his wife and kids for allowing him time to spend with us during this most hard time we love all of you and look forward to serving GOD together. THE REESE’s
